The Muskoka Lakes Museum’s volunteer program provides a wide range of opportunities and experiences for all ages.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering at the musuem is a great way for young volunteers to complete their required 40 hours of community service, or for local residents to contribute to their community. Opportunities include:

  • Transcribing letters and handwritten documents in the collection
  • Running museum tours and demonstrations
  • Helping in the herb garden
  • Staffing the reception and book shop
  • Assisting with special events
