Wage: 17.50 per hour/ 30hrs a week.

The Muskoka Lakes Museum welcomes visitors from around the world each year, and is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Gift Shop Clerk. They will be the first point of contact for visitors greeting guests, assisting with museum inquiries, and helping customers with their gift shop purchases.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
• Greet and welcome visitors to the museum in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assist visitors with gift shop and admission payments, including handling cash, operating the point-of-sale system, and balancing the register at the end-of-day.
• Provide information about exhibits, programs, and local history.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing gift shop space.
• Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management.
• Support museum staff with daily opening and closing procedures.
• On occasion, assist with setting up for events, programs, and special activities.
• Assist with guided gallery tours.
• Ensure a positive visitor experience.
• Follow all museum policies and safety procedures for staff and visitors.
