Featured Artifact

These early 20th century glasses are found in the authentic log cabin at the museum.

This pair was owned by the Judd family of Minett on Lake Rosseau. They were donated to the museum by Miss Audrey Judd in 1976, along with several other pairs of spectacles, including a pair of early sunglasses, and a pince-nez pair from that same time period. All of these were originally purchased from the jeweller and optician Thomas Jebb of Orillia. These spectacles are also on display in the museum, in the Eaton’s case in the Marine room.
