Summer Lecture Series: Patrick Boyer

Wednesday July 8 – Patrick Boyer: The Flame of Muskoka Heritage.

At opening ceremonies for this year’s Winter Olympics, Italy’s president spoke of the flame of heritage, suggesting it encompasses more than the Olympic torch.

For his talk at Muskoka Lakes Museum this summer, J. Patrick Boyer will interpret the “flame of heritage” concept in a number of applications relating to Muskoka.

Boyer, a generational Muskoka with ancestors in the District before Confederation, has been partner of a major Toronto law firm, member of the House of Commons representing a Toronto constituency, taught at four universities, hosted television and radio programs, and worked as a news reporter in Quebec, Saskatchewan, and Ontario,. He is author of more than two dozen books.
