Join us Saturday, July 15th for the 6th annual Muskoka Butter Tart Festival! Admission buttons are $2. Butter tarts are priced by vendors. Butter tarts are on sale from opening at 10am, so be there on time as they usually sell out by noon! Come on over for a delicious treat and learn about the history of butter tarts in Muskoka with our butter tart display spread throughout each room of the museum.
In addition to the the Butter Tart Festival a ‘bivouac’- an old military style camp/shelter will be on James Bartleman Island. The bivouac will involve two tents, along with a working cannon that shoots candy and muskets which will be used to create an authentic re-enactment of Canadian military operations circa 1812. It will be in place all day– from 10-5 and will be fun for the whole family!
