The Muskoka Lakes Museum’s Lecture Series

Lectures take place every Wednesday evening at 7 pm at the Museum, in July and August, unless noted otherwise. Cost is $5 or $3 for members.

The 2017 lecture series schedule:

July 5 – “Pioneer Muskoka – tales of Courage, Grit and Community” Local author Ray Love will share from his latest book.

July 12 – “Pictograph film” by award-winning filmmaker Lloyd Walton, who will discuss and show his film

July 19 – ‘Photography boats and outdoors” well-known, local photographer Tim Duvernet will discuss special issues involving photographing boats, and outdoor photography in general.

July 26 — one of the lecturers from the list below — TBA

August 2 – ‘Lake Joseph history” local author Bill Gray will discuss his book,

August 9 — one of the lecturers from the list below — TBA

August 16 – Andrew Wagner-Chazalon, on a subject to be decided    

August 23 – ‘An American in Muskoka’ by filmmaker Jerry Hamlin, who will discuss and show his film

August 30 — one of the lecturers from the list below — TBA

Sean George – (date to be decided) – will discuss the museum’s collection of Canadian glass

Andrew Hind – (date to be decided) – will discuss Muskoka’s ghost towns
